He Walks With Me by Anne Murray

I come to the garden alone
While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear, falling on my ear
The Son of God discloses

(Chorus)
And He walks with me
And He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known

He speaks and the sound of His voice
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing
And the melody that He gave to me
Within my heart is ringing

I'd stay in the garden with Him
'Tho the night around me be falling
But He bids me go; through the voice of woe
His voice to me is calling

  1. While my mother was at hospice my sister and I would listen to mom's favorite songs on my kindle. Even though her time was limited, we felt that she was aware of our singing. It brought great comfort to all of us. We were able to communicate to our loving mother through this beautiful song.

    2. This hymn soothes my soul. Sang in in church alone as a child and my heart is always better when I sing it.

  2. One of the greatest memory was singing this at monthly hymnals while in high school in the 1950s

  4. Beautiful song. How good will it be to have the music score of the song to facilitate performance.

  5. So disappointed to miss your message because the “Here’s how” phrases gave me a “Error 404, page not found” message.

  7. A song learned as a young boy at Summer Bible School has reminded me as I now enter my 70's that Jesus has always been at my side.
